Disasters leave indelible marks on those who survive them. Libremente is an SMS-based system designed to provide disaster survivors with a toolkit for wellness recovery.

Countering Misinformation

Mis- and disinformation changed the media landscape in ways we’re only beginning to understand. I research the misinformation landscape and provide trainings to on-the-ground journalists.

MIT Thesis: When to Start Freaking Out

Disease outbreaks precipitate concern and fear — for ourselves and of others. I analyzed audience engagement efforts used by news and public health organizations, contextualizing their image use with the nuances of balancing accurate risk perception and changing media business models.

Reasoning Diagrams

The learning process is a long one, full of twists and turns. This project mapped disciplinary reasoning to help students become better communicators and researchers.
